I think all of us involved in this launch did not realize how close we were and yesterday we were all a little shocked …. 40 days!!!
On one level, it feels so far away and on another level it will scream by super quick. Life is like that too. How often do 40 days just pass us by?
These are the definitions of launch:
- Set out into the deep
- Start or set in motion an activity, enterprise or campaign
- Send on its course
- To send or shoot something into the air, water or space
- Hurl something forcefully
- To release into the atmosphere
- Make a sudden energetic movement
- Introduce (a new product or publication) to the public for the first time.
- To begin something energetically or enthusiastically
- Start on a new challenge
- To give a person a start
- To wield a lance (a long pointed weapon carried in battle)
- To begin an attack or a siege
Find something in one of these definitions that stand out to you. Read them over until something leaps out. Then take a moment to ask the Holy Spirit what He is prompting you with. Explore it. Taste, smell, envision it. Who could you become in the next 39 days? We are asking that as individuals so that we can stand together as a team and champion what the Lord is going to ‘launch’ out of our lives.
Even tonight – it is midnight and there is a stretch. Design is happening, websites updating, meetings are being promoted, people’s hands are going up to join team, their hearts are opening to give, their prayers are inclining towards this, their interest is stirred. So what will we do with what is being entrusted to us both personally and collectively?
It feels unified and focused. That is the power of these 40 days.
Psalm 147:12 – 18
Jerusalem, worship God! Zion, praise your God! He made your city secure, he blessed your children among you. He keeps the peace at your borders, he puts the best bread on your tables. He launches his promises earthward— how swift and sure they come! He spreads snow like a white fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can survive his winter? Then he gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it’s spring!
The perfect verse for us here in the northern hemisphere as the minus 15 degrees days became 1 degrees and we were all out in our t-shirts ha! But seriously .. day 39 .. this is about people, a city, generations, blessing, peace and God LAUNCHING His promises earthward towards YOU and those whose story will collide to both your personal launch and our collective launch as a new church.
Pray this declaration over your life today!!!
