Day 26 – The world of the generous gets larger

There is something significant about sowing into the launch that you are going to be apart of.

It is easy to think because you’re giving your time to it, that it’s justifiable to not give your treasure to it. In fact you can even go further and think ‘I am volunteering my time, earning LESS money than normal’ so I don’t think i need to sow into this launch financially.

God certainly wouldn’t love you any less … He never will measure His love for you in that way. However what happens if the key team doesn’t lean into the financial sacrifices is this:

They don’t receive the blessing of this adventure. Stretching and enlarging their world financially when they need it the most. The miracle stories in giving and generosity are just the best! They are so fun and it’s where you discover the kindness of God in so many fresh ways. Launch team needs to see Him like this.

Secondly, it is YOUR church that you are sowing into. It’s YOUR future! It’s the people you are going to meet, marry (maybe), do life with, be in business with, dream with etc. You sow into their salvation and their miracle story.

Thirdly, it says to the Lead Pastor ‘we are with you heart and soul’. It says ‘you don’t just have to rely on your outside relationships to sow into this …. you’ve got US’

Andrew and I have sowed our all into both launches. Our first launch, of course, was our long service leave, all our savings, our inheritance and more. This launch we are stretching again because we actually want the West Island to be about the legacy for our kids and their future. Plus we love the margin it creates for the miraculous.

So as a team Doing It Again, would you consider praying and stretching? We want to see YOUR life increase from this season. We want to hear the miracles Jesus did through YOU!

2 Corinthians 9.6-7Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish
planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think
it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect
you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver
delights in the giving.
8-11God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready
for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be
done. As one psalmist puts it,
He throws caution to the winds,
giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways
never run out, never wear out.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread
for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something
you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God,
wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing
with us great praise to God.

We love you xx
